Every woman has been through it at least once- an occasion, like an early dinner date, or even a funeral, comes up and you don’t have the right shoes to wear. There are a lot of choices out there, but here is a list of a few essentials that no woman’s closet should be without.

Clean, comfortable sneakers.
It’s really up to you here, but every girl should have at least one pair of nice sneakers. There are high tops, low-cuts, and everything in between. Sneakers are perfect for a morning walk, or just to run errands around town. They are absolutely essential!

Shiny, metallic high heels or stilettos.
Sometimes, your basic black shoes just won’t cut it. For those times, put on your metallic silver or gold pumps or strappy sandals. These shoes are more versatile than you might think- they work with black dresses, as well as whites and pastel colors.

Some go-everywhere, semi-casual shoes.
Black flats work well here. They are casual enough to wear with jeans, but nice enough that you can pair them with a pair of dress slacks. These are pretty much the “go-to” shoe when you can’t make up your mind.

Pumps in a neutral tone.
As great and versatile as your black pumps are, there are times when they’ll clash with your outfit. Neutral colors (think tan or beige) will round out your high-heel collection, and add some understated elegance to your shoe closet.

This isn’t a complete list by any means, but it’s enough to get you started. Happy shoe-shopping!
