Vintage clothing in military fashion trends
The Vintage clothing is a trend especially in military fashion trends consisting in a new interest in old clothes, generally brand names or custom made garments that are typical items of an era that have a certain style and design value. An old look recycled back into fashion is especially popular. Most of the time vintage clothes were not mass products in earlier times and ads to their appeal.
For many years the fashion industry has borrowed camouflage from the military. Camouflage was an originally an adaptation from the fact that some animals use it to protect themselves from predators. An animal that masked themselves appear to be part of their environment. It says “I’m a rock, I’m a tree, I am not actually here” etc. amusingly this is why camo is now called the invisible fashion – it has been recharged, recolored and renewed so frequently that it is contiguous on ironic, style tack.
In days gone bye camo usually stemmed from army surplus that was the couture for the anti Vietnam, hippies, punks and war protestors, The fact that camouflage is in so many mainstream stores coyly suggests it’s now considered a solid style, not a merely a flash fad. This fad has surpassed the prediction of two years ago that it was merely a slow style cycle. Taking time to catch on the glossy magazines show it came in and out of style mixed in with military trended hardware, coloring and detailing. Although a personal rule is “More is more”, too much camouflage is a very bad idea. In relation to military trend styles in camouflage colors, an epaulet, a pocket, a badge placed with coordinated abandon and you have struck camo chic.
