Recently at the Australian Open, Venus Williams shocked the entire stadium from the players to the judges and even the spectators. While both Venus and her sister Serena are known for their fashion forward outfits, it is usually Serena who is the more shocking of the two. This year though Venus may have taken the fashion forwardness a bit too far. Venus decided to wear shorts that were a perfect match with her skin tone making it appear that she was playing without shorts on. This perhaps may be seen by some as a daring in your face response to the Australian Open putting a ban on revealing clothing worn by the players while others may think this was an outfit of very poor taste.
Venus, who is a fashion designer, when not on the court, was quite proud of her creation. After the match Venus twitted “My dress for the Australian Open has been one of my best designs ever! Its (sic) all about the slits and the V-Neck, I am wearing undershorts the same color as my skin, so it gives the slits in my dress the full effect.”
