A Look at fashion for Spring 2010

Wow what a decade the 2000s were and 2010 now brings us into a new decade and of course new trends. So what does the new year bring to fashion ? We will do a quick look into what trends are heating up for 2010.

Boyfriend blazer or vest — continuing from the trend of oversized boyfriend jeans the boyfriend vest will have to be worn with slim fitting clothing. It makes a great contrast of styles and makes things really chic.

Slouchy pants — This can be anything from baggy chinos to wide-leg pants.

Athletic wear – From biker shorts to anything that can get you moving. Athletic fashion was all over the french runways for 2010 spring shows.

Anything flat – say goodbye to your heels , this year flat is the rage from typical flats, to loafers, this years trend is much more masculine and boy style boots will be very in.

Wedges ,wood and exotic. Shoes will be also hot in fashion. The wedges will reign queen again. Think high detail and pushing the envelope. If you saw the Alexander Mcqueen’s Spring fashion show , though not that wild, you know what I am talking about.

Color — natural tones and light pinks are in this year. But bright is the way to be for shades. Sunglasses are going to be preferred in bright greens and yellows.

Jumpsuits — Its back, though I am not to sure that I like this style it will be available everywhere by many designers.

Small handbags – The oversized is out. The new decade bring in responsibility and a faster pace. The grab and go bags will be the bag to own. Small clutches with large chains that can strap the body will be very hot !

Denim , Denim , Denim – The love of denim will really start taking shape. As designers take denim to the next level. Big designers enter the foray as Armani releases jeans this year. New cuts and shapes and mixing different colors will get the year going.
